Hornady 500 S&W Recall

Well I checked and I did have a partial box of one of the recalled lots. Hornady is sending me a full box to replace it and a free hat. I didn't see anything wrong with the 5 rounds I shot, they all hurt equally.

Guess I could keep those 5 cases too:D
 
Hornady is giving you fair warning about excessive chamber pressures from those rounds that might cause gun damage and those rounds might injure you.

Hornady is also going the extra mile to repalce all the possibly dangerous ammo and sending you a bitchin' hat too.

If it was 38 special rounds being fired out of a 357 magnum I'd fire the old stuff too but you have one of the most powerful handguns commercially made today.

If it fails ,you could die.

I would not fire that stuff,Hornady does'nt do this to be nice-they don't want you hurt and them sued.
 
I'm sending the partial box I have back, I was just saying that I now have a new full box, the hat, and the brass from the rounds I already fired(approx $1 each)

Hornady is setting me up pretty good and the wait for the new box is no big deal. That box was just collecting dust anyways.
