Horn made spoon

The plastic of it's day and still in use.

This is pretty neat and when I use to work-horn, found out that back then, horn had many uses, other than holding BP. There were salt-horns axial-grease horns, Ramrod tips and the list goes on. Thanks for posting. ..... :)

Horn can be softened and pressed into other shapes. Old shotguns had horn buttplates, there were horn eating implements, horn rimmed eyeglasses, horn hair combs, pocket knife handle scales, pens, silverware handles, you name it. It is a very versatile product that can be used anywhere you need a strong, rigind piece. It has been totally displaced by plastics.
