Hoppe's and Mpro-7 ?

I have read that these are both made by the same company, does anyone know if that is in fact true ? I have used them both and find I like the Mpro-7 just a hair better. Nothing scientific, just seems like maybe the Mpro-7 works just a little better.
Has anyone else compared them both and preferred one over the other ? There are so many gun cleaners and lubes to pick from and I want to just decide what I like and stay with it. Tired of spending money trying new stuff and finding it is no better than what I already have.

I've heard that M-Pro7 and Hoppe's Elite cleaner/lube/protector are the same, but I don't know. I've used both and found them to be equally good.

They're not exactly the same, but they're very similar and manufactured by the same company. They are different formulas though. Both are great cleaners and respected companies, if you find that the M-pro works better for you there is nothing that should keep you from using it. I've used both and liked both of them (personally not a fan of the foaming elite, but the spray stuff is pretty good). Neither one of them in my go-to though, I switched from a lifetime of using regular Hoppes #9 to Otis a few years ago because it is a good product, good price, and made in the USA which I like.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it though. Sounds like you like the Mpro, I'd stick with it unless there is something you feel it doesn't do well.

The elite is a "modified" formula based on the M-pro7 copper cleaner. The "gun cleaner" is a different chemical formulation.

I also have some Otis 085 ultra bore and otis special forces dry lube that I have not used as of yet, I bought them at walmart on sale just to try. Has anyone here tried them ?

I tried pro-7 last season because I heard it was better to clean up the carbon. It works fine. I noticed it seams to be kind of a gel. It doesn't smell like Hippie's #9 that can be quite harsh on the air and my lungs. I try to get extra ventilation with #9.

There's both a pump spray & a gel. Both work well, the copper cleaner works with either for a laft-right double punch on carbon & copper.
