Honor Guard

Just purchased the new Honor Guard by Honor Defense. Was considering the M&P Shield as had not shot the Honor Guard. Decided to purchase the HG. Wow am I impressed. It far exceeds the shield. The company's service is beyond great. Check your local shops to see if they have it. I actually got mine for the same price as the shield. Even with the deal I got it for I would have spent the extra money for it

$500, There is no history on the gun or the manufacture.
I think HONOR GUARD on the slide should be painted gold.
That in the world is the dumb extension on the front of the grip just below the trigger guard.
It will be interesting to shoot with so much of the gun back behind the hand. I like the heavily tapered front of the slide.
Ambidextrous controls. Good sights. The serrations look good. The texture on the frame also looks interesting. Very snag free.
Maybe in a couple of years after several thousand people break in the production floor. I will keep my G26 for now.

It actually does look like a well thought out design aside from the gunderbite. But the track record is not there and iirc the warranty is weak.

And these posts are shilly.

What is the warranty on this Honor Guard?? I believe Smith and Wesson is lifetime to original owner.

How does it "far exceed the Shield"? I take it you must have fired both of them at the range during the same range session?

What did you pay for it? Palmetto has Shield 9MM on sale for $329.

In any case I ended up with Walther PPS myself.

The best service to me is not needing service in the first place.

We will
NOT
cover damage of your firearm caused by:
Accidents, abuse, or misuse
Failure to provide proper care and maintenance
Hand loaded, reloaded, remanufactured,
or improper ammunition
Unauthorized adjustments, repairs or modifications
Normal wear and tear
Failure to follow instructions and warnings in this manual

L2YW MD I guess this is what he means by beyond great.

I am so disappointed that the OP did not at least make the effort to post a target showing 2" groups. Sadly I checked my local shops and they did not have any.

I'm sorry but that's the worst warranty statement I've ever seen on a firearm. I know it's just CYA talk to protect the company but if they won't even warrant normal wear, then how are you going to get them to warrant anything else that may be wrong with it. I like a lot of the features of the gun, I just think I'd much rather spend my $425 real world money on a company that actually stands by their products. hell, even hipoint has an unconditional lifetime warranty.

AFAIK, no company warrants its products against normal wear and tear. If one does, I will buy their products, no questions asked. Free repairs on my 1902 Olds? Wow!
