Home made sear / hammer jigs

Hello,

Does anyone build their own jigs for doing trigger work or does everyone use the Power Custom Series I/ Series II jig? ( Nothing like a broad brush generalisation to stir up the natives :) )

If you do build your own, would you care to share the specification?

FWIW I like the L. Bengtson Arms Co. sear jig, simply. cheap and effective. More details can be found at http://www.custompistols.com/bengtson/tooling/searjig.htm

I know one guy who is into cutaway recivers for honing to match trigger assembly parts.

I know another guy who uses long pins to assemble the part outside of the reciever.

They both do better work than me, but I have done my share of trigger jobs with just my eye and hand guiding me.

Hello Clark,

Thanks for your comments.

I guess I'll have to take it that Power Custom is the standard!
