Home Invasion with no real Good Guys, but SD still seems valid

Here's a home invasion robbery which seems to have involved at least some drugs in the home that was hit.

The homeowner was arrested, but not for shooting in self-defense. The charge was for using a stolen gun for his self-defense.

Seems like the homeowner isn't exactly a good citizen, but it also seems that, at least thus far, self-defense laws are still working in his favor.

Interestingly, none of the home's residents wish to press charges against the home invaders.

This seems to come up quite a bit in regard to people in Chicago and NYC who use guns in self defense and then are arrested for having unregistered guns. The cops have no problem with the fact that they shot and wounded or killed the home invaders.

However when posted here, the thread is often entitled something like "Arrested for self defense."

All of the home’s residents told police that they did not want to prosecute the robbers.

Hmm, methinks there is a lot more to this story, now especially that the homeowner had a stolen gun. Drug deal gone bad? Maybe turf issue...
