Holy Mackerel !!! I am stunned!!

They were 42.00 a thousand last week at Friendship. At our club a couple
Months ago I bought a thousand for 36.00

I think the last musket caps I bought were 6.95. 4 flange RWS. The last percussion caps I bought were 5 something and were Remington #10.

They run better than $7 a tin for Wimchester Magnums at wally which is the only locally to get them and they are only available in the fall. I did find them on the clearance isle last week at wally for 3 bucks and grabbed an arm load.

I work just a mile or so from the Cabelas in Buda TX and buying anything for muzzloaders there is like going going to a ski resort for lunch.
Not to mention they mostly cater to the crowd trying to take advantage of the ML only deer season with inlines and sabots.
I stock up on supplies every time I go to a TMLRA shoot in Brady or any other shoot where venders set up their booths.

Last one was 8.95, it was either that or not shoot. They only had one tin left and very little of anything else I wanted like bore butter.

Gunshow I was at recently a guy was selling flints. I wanted flints for my T/C Renegade as I've been thinking of shooting it again.

$25 for THREE English chert flints!

I'll use a piece of smouldering cord before I pay that kind of money for three damned flints!

I was paying $10 per 100, #11 and #10 CCI and #10 Remington.
Went to another shop, the owner was amazed at how much I was getting taken. He sells all the same ones for $4 per 100.:o
Also picked up 1000 CCI 209s at another shop for $16.:) This guy sells used stuff, so he probably took them in on trade or something.

Almost enough to make a fella switch to flintlock full time!

Unless you ever tried to buy flints at Cabelas. Something like 12 bucks for a blister pack of two sawed agate flints.

I stock up when I go to a shoot from the venders there. Their stuff is usaually less costly and you can also get stuff you just can't buy at Cabelas or Wal*Mart. Real black powder and real flints for starters.

Sawn flints are CRAP! I won't pay 50 cents a piece for the damned things!

I agree, you almost can't give them to me. If our forfathers had nothing but sawn agate for their flintlocks, we'd all be speaking Indian today.

I wish Friendship wasn't so far away from where I live. I hear it's worth going to the nationals just for the venders that set up shop there.
