Holsterpro "shoot through" LCP holster?

AOW according to BATFE.
I dont believe this holster is considered an AOW, as its slide is exposed and its obvious that there is a gun there.

If the holster was like the older wallet type, that fully enclosed the gun, hiding it, then it would fit the AOW rules.

"I dont believe this holster is considered an AOW, as its slide is exposed and its obvious that there is a gun there."

So you are going to use it and find out?

Was it submitted for a review?

Actually that style of holster was submitted for review by the original maker and BATF approved it. Several knock offs now including one by Galco.

Here is a similar holster, and an attached letter from the ATF to the maker dealing with it...

This "note" is about halfway down the page...

"Note: In the early 90's, a law was passed prohibiting a gun from being carried in a concealed container. This holster manufacturer contacted the ATF for a ruling on this holster. Because this holster does not place the gun in a container, the ATF ruled this holster is exempt from any ATF law making this CCW wallet holster available to consumers without any additional registration, tax stamps, etc."

Heres a link to an ATF letter explaining things...

I've been seeing these pop up all over Ebay when I look for LCP stuff. No thanks! If you want the trigger exposed, why even put it in anything?

I'll keep mine in its leather holster, IWB or pocket depending on the weather.

I think the idea here is to break the guns outline, and keep it positioned in the pocket.

I really dont see the trigger being exposed here being an issue, as its really not, its enclosed in the holster. Besides, there shouldnt be anything else in the pocket with it anyway, so holster or not, its still not an issue.

It might break up the outline of the gun, but if I'm carrying my LCP, I want it in a holster that breaks up the outline and covers the trigger.

the point of the holster is to break up the outline and in a last ditch case be able to fire one round out of the gun if it doesnt come out of the holster easily.....its supposed to be a double redundancy holster...

i have some of holsterpro's pocket holsters and they are very high quality but i do not own the shoot thru holster

Whether there is anything else in the pocket or not, which there shouldn't be, an exposed trigger is asking for trouble. I would not pocket carry any handgun wherein the method of carry involved an exposed trigger. Just my personal preference.

I wouldn't have a problem using this holster with an LCP.
I carry my LCP in my pocket without a holster. (I would never do this with my G26).
The trigger pull is loooooooooong.
I've let people shoot my LCP - and the majority of them pull the trigger and nothing happens - I have to tell them keep going, keep going....
