Any reccomendations for a left handed holster for a S&W 629
with 4" barrel. This is for open carry on hikes.

Any reccomendations for CCW for same firearm?

nice holsters but why spend upwards of a 100 bucks on a field rig...any uncle mike's nylon will do the trick at a fifth the cost...if you still want leather, the cheaper mass produced jobs at less than half the cost will do fine for your application...

I use a Bianchi holster for my Taurus Tracker. Works great and secures nice.

My 4" 29 lives in a Bianchi #5BHL.....left handed, works behind or in front of hip point depending on what other gear is carried.

For field carry I would get an old calvary style leather one with a snap down flap. Keeps the weather out, more durable than nylon. Only down side is a little more weight.
No it ain't the sexiest lookin' rig out there but it does its job extremely well.
