I have a S&W 640 .357.

I would like to carry it concealed inside my pants. I've
heard about holsters that allow you to carry it in the
groin area. Does anyone have a reccomendation on the best
holster for this scenarioi.

Seriously, it's "Thunderwear".
Please consider carefully your intended method; not for novice. Any time a loaded gun is pointed at YOUR OWN body you need to fully understand the possible ramifications.

I tired in the groin carry with my "other" snub nose for a while but I kept getting strange women come to me with that tired old cliche, "is that a gun in your groin or you just happy to see me. An eight inched barrel revolver doesn't hide well but makes you extremely popular.....

Suggest more correct carry method for snub to be "in-the-pocket", either front OR rear (based on your actual need). Holsters available. Either of these methods offer MUCH FASTER presentation than digging gun out of crotch.

For deeep conceal, Jon Bianchi made me a groin rig for a 36. Looked like a reworked shoulder holster. Carefull practice needed, but could get it out bout as quick as modern pager pall. Was not too uncomfortable in the tropics. I think Pager Pall or Thunderwear would be a likely choice these days. Practice carefully.
