Just bought a Ruger Old Army 45 and wondering about holster choices. Considering shoulder style for carrying while hunting but maybe not practical. Opinions? Thanks.

Holster question
Your holster type depends on your intended use. I use a shoulder holster for my S.&W.model 29, when I hunt with it. Very handy and yet, out of the way. Just purchased a new belt holster for my Colt .45 ,SAA, that I am going to use to hunt with. The disadvantages to a shoulder holster are that it does take a lot of getting use to. Kinda uncomfortable with those straps around your back, etc.
