I posted this at pistolsmith.com and figured someone here might be able to help too.
A friend was offered a Colt Lightning revolver in a really unique old holster and I told him I would ask about it. I am asking here because there are more holster experts here than any place I know.
The holster is leather and appears to be cloth lined. It has a trigger cutout and has a tooled pattern. The unique thing about it is a riveted steel slip-over belt loop. The loop appears to be stamped "B Jacobs, Pat Nov 4 1884". (Could this be the original Talon??? )
