I need suggestions for good quality holsters for a Walther P99 40 and an HK USP Compact 40. I'd like an inside the wasteband holster that I can keep in the small of my back or on my right hip. I also need to be able to tuck in my shirt. I'm willing to spend money for good quality.

Thanks for your help

Also for a tuckable holster I hear the Milt Sparks Versa Max II is good, though have never tried it. Lou Alessi makes some of the nicest holsters out there, he does not have a website but you can email him at: imalessi@compuserve.com

If you want hi-tech, try Mad Dog's GunGlove. Made of one piece of Kydex and fastened with permanently set 6,000 lb compression set rivets, it's simply the best out there. Unlike many imitators, there are no screws or rubber grommets to loosen or fall out. Retention is set perfectly during manufacture, and is permanent. I have an IWB ("In the Pants") holster for my Compact USP40 and I love it. It is surprisingly thin and comfortable.

Check it out at http://www.streetpro.com

Best,

Tim

Lou Alessi is one of the nicest holster makers around. A true gentleman and artist in leather. He has made two custom holsters and magazine pouches for me and the workmanship is first rate. I reccomend his gear to any that will listen.
