Holster for Champion

Can anyone give me some good advise on a carry holster for the Champion 45?

I know everyone has their own ideas so feel free to advise me. Weak side, strong side, small of back, etc.

Would like your real world experiences.

JD, I have one of Mark DeCoveny's (MarkTHG here on TFL) YCS holsters for my Champion. The holster's too long, by an inch because he uses a gov't size holster for is, but so far, no probs at all. It's a strong side IWB that doesn't close up when you draw. chose against having a thumb strap, and I'm glad I did. I can shake the holster upside down and the gun won't fall out (I wouldn't keep on doing it, but it really holds fine), but a quick tug on the gun releases it from the holster. A good belt is also a must and Mark sells them too. I've found that with this setup, I can carry my Champion all day and no one's the wiser.

hi jd45,

we've got the iwb braveheart, the belt point.5 and the sooper hooper for a perfect fit on your 4" champion. select the "compact" holsters and read details.

JD45,

I have carried a Champion in a Galco Concealable (Model Con266B)for about three years now and I am very pleased with it. It is very comfortable and I would not hesitate buying another one. The only problem I have experienced is that the forward cant causes the rear sight to be far enough forward to occasionaly hit a door frame that I am negotiating. I know, this is easily remedied by not cutting corners so closely. :)

Botach Tactical recently had Galco's on sale. http://www.botachtactical.com/galcon.html

Godd luck in your search ......

Best Regards,
