Holster box everyone has...

I have a holster box that overflows with different ones that I tried once or twice and then deposited never to use again. Don't you wish you could always make the perfect decision the first time around rather than hit and miss!!!

What is the best first time decision you made on a holster or belt or accessory that was absolutely perfect...and if you didn't have success, what was the worst choice made.

I guess the best decision I ever made was buying a Simply Rugged Pancake Holster for my S&W M-66. The holster is leather and really a pretty basic design, but I guess that is the beauty of it. The holster really holds the firearm well in OWB mode and can also be configured for IWB if desired. So, I’ve never even considered getting a different holster for this gun.

My first choice was the seven dollar Uncle Mikes IWB holster, but it was temporary until I could afford/order Ted Blockers LFI1 rig, which I still wear 27 years later.

I wasn't so lucky with my other guns and so do have the drawer full of holsters you speak of. Sell them here is a good idea.
