Holographic sight question

I am interested in getting a holo sight for my newly acquired AR (still kicking myself for not getting it thrown in the package deal) and was wondering if the el-cheapo NCStar holo sights on E-bay are worth messing with?

I know you get exactly what you pay for but are the sights worth mounting until I can afford an EOTech?

Depends on how badly you want a red dot. If I interpret your post correctly, your wish is to get an EOTech when funds are available? If that's the case, I'd say spend time shooting and familiarizing yourself with the gun with the open sights and save the $50-$100 for the cheapo and put it in the EOTech coffee can.

I have (4) holographic sights mounted on several rifles & handguns & find them to be quite effective. They are fast acquiring and I like the availability of 4-reticles and they are quite inexpensive. Try one.... you'll like it. Here is where I got mine....... Denny

Barska Holo Sight

I was pondering the Barska holo sight because I have 2 of their 6.5 - 20 X 50mm AO Varmint scopes mounted on my varmint rifles. The ones I have are great as long as you stay below 16x, which is not a problem for me. The picture is fuzzy above that mark.

Anyway, back on topic. I am in the process of ordering the Barska holo because that is an excellent price!
