It's almost at the very end of the tube...just below the cap. ive never owned a wingmaster so i dont know if this is standard or not. my question is will this hole make my spring bind up once i put my mag extension on? i'd take a pic but my cameras out.

(crosses fingers, hopes not)

I have an early 70's wingmaster 12 ga that has the same hole near the end of the magazine tube. It's on the bottom of the magazine and is covered by the barrel lug when installed. I am not sure of the function of the hole, but I haven't had any issues with it either. I wouldn't worry about it. Just shoot and enjoy your gun.

I thought about it and I don't SEE any reason why the hole would be enough to bind up my spring because there's too much surface area in the tube otherwise. At least that's what I'm thinking...

The one WM I saw with one was equipped with a wooden mag plug. The hole allowed the plug to be secured with a screw.

I see no reason this will impede extension use.

Just getting jumpy I guess. At first thought I felt it might be able to bind up the spring on travel or return...but there isn't enough surface area aside from the one small hole to allow for binding I don't think.
