I looked at Hogue stocks and can only find one thing I am still at a loss about. How is the buttstock recoil pad.
There are some new and (reportedly) improved recoil pads out there. If you need some help in that area, then it is something to consider.
My main question to the original poster is what is your purpose for finding a replacement stock. Want synthetic instead of wood; a shorter length of pull. What purpose are you trying to fill....?
Well, my gun went back to Remington for repeirs and when it came back there was chips on my stock. I also would like to get the taqmer pistol grip for home protection. In my eyes it seems more tactical to have the shortest gun you could, so it is easier to move around corners and such.
How about tactical plus practical recoil reduction? I would recommend the Knoxx Copstock. With the stock folded you can fire it like a pistol, one handed. Don't try that with any of the other pistol grips.

Have you done this yourself or are you just going on what the site says. I have a thread going right now about the same stock and the breeching pistol grip. If it really works I would love to buy one.
