Hogue or Pachmayr

given the following details, which set of grips would require the shooter to have the larger hands?

Grips:

hogue rubber, one piece.
pachmayr, gripper grips, enclosed backstrap.

Revolver:

S&W K frame, square butt, 4" barrel

The Pachmayr grips will be larger than the Hogues, especially when the backstrap is enclosed. I have fairly large hands, but I still buy Hogues instead of Pachmayr.

+1 for the Hogue. Never been a fan of the Pachmayr, they have a habit of not fitting as well and don't seem as well made either. I use the Hogues on my Super Blackhawk

I had all Pach's on mine years back.... and at a Gun show was buying grips for a new 1911 I had swapped for.... vendor convinced me to let him put a pair of Hogues on just to see what I thought. I've not bought anything but Hogue since. They fit well, Hold up well and for me they give me a much better grip than others. I'm sure if your local dealer has both he would let you try them!

Hogue turned my 41 mag from a 4 shots and I was done for the day to shoot till the box of ammo is empty gun. I'm no recoil sissy but why have it when you don't need it.

I have to go with hoghunting on this one, for your revolver but hey, try it out for yourself. if the Hogues fit you, then by all means, stick with them as I generally prefer the Hogues. If not, go to the Pachs as they are a bit larger and designed different.
