Hogue grips for single actions

I absolutely hate rubber grips on SA guns. That being said, I bought a used Ruger BH that had Hogue grips on it. I left them on as I would be out hiking and climbing and in the weather. I figured that those and the synthetic holster would afford the gun a little more protection. Well as it turns out, I really began to like the grips. They put my thumb farther from the hammer, which is a minus, but are great to shoot with. It seems easier to point the slightly longer barrel. Also covers more of the frame when you are scraping against rocks. It feels like the finger grooves make it easier to hold the gun the same way every time. I dont care for the looks especially, and would not put them on a heavy recoiling gun, but for my .357 "working" gun, I am thrilled with them. Just wanted to let you know that if you never try them, you are missing out.
