Hogue forend / 870 ?

Does anyone have one of these installed on their 870? I was just wondering if the forend overlaps the receiver. I was going to get one to match the Hogue AR grip I might be mounting to my shotgun.

Thanks

BOB

I have a Hogue Over-Molded set of stocks on my DNC-inspired Evil Black Shotgun. It is the shorter forestock that does not overlap. I have a six round side-saddle on this gun and there is no interference.

Upon further review I'd like to amend my answer............

It does not overlap significantly. Like I said, it does not interfere with a six round sidesaddle on my 870 but it does overlap (just look at NINE's photo) a tiny itsy bitsy amount.

The stock forend I have on now overlaps about 2 inches. It looks like in the picture that the Hogue forend overlaps about a 1/4 inch or so. If it will clear a 6 round side saddle that is plenty short.

Thanks

Yep, it's a 14 incher.. and it's a Norinco HP9-1. :D I have a review on it, check it out. I love it.

Nine, how does the Hogue overmold stock feel compare to most factory synthetic stocks, does it feel cheap? Does it absorb recoil well? Thanks :D

It feels really good, much better than most synthetic stocks I've handled. The 12 LOP model I have is much lighter than the factory set that was on my shot gun... couple that with the shorter OAL; "Stout" is a good way to describe the recoil. Still managable thought. The rubberized fore-end and grip of the but stock really has to be felt to appreciate; gives the firearm a real "secure" feeling. I highly recommend Hogue.

I LOVE the Houge 12" LOP stock! The foreend is OK, I think the old Pachmayr was a little better BUT the Surefire one with the Light is THE BEST! This is for COMBAT shotties of course!
