HKS Speedloaders

I'm looking to get a speedloader for my Beretta 92 FS mags. My thumb is about as big as my Jeep now a days :)
Are these speedloaders worth it? The are relatively cheap. Is there anything better?

For what it's worth I haven't had much experience with the HKS loaders. I have heard some folks say they're great and others just so-so. I've contemplated purchasing one, but between the loader that came with my Ruger and the Glock loader I bought at a gun show a while back, there haven't been many magazines that have got the best of my thumb. Either way, with the HKS or another, I think you would happy with it....and your thumb will thank you.

I bought an HKS speedloader for my Glock 23 and I almost never use it. It was listed for 17/19/23/22. The fit on a m23 mag is terrible and it's a hassle to use. YMMV.

I just recently bought one for my 92FS. Don't know how I ever managed to be without one. For the $7 that they cost you really can't go wrong IMHO.

It's amazing what a large group of stupid people can accomplish.

Honestly, I hated the speed loaders. I can load my 92FS mags faster by hand. The same applies with my 1911 mags. I think I'll send them back for credit or something. Unless any of you guys want it? If so, you pay the shipping and I'll send it to you.

I had one for my Firestar M40 - .40S&W and I currenly have one for my USP9C. The HKS loader functioned beautifully on the Firestar single column mags.

The USP9C is another story. The slot on the bottom dosen't quite hold the mag all that securely. It's not a big problem since I hold the loader so that the mag dosen't slip out. The BIG problem was that there was a stop for the lever that didn't allow the "pusher" to retract up far enough to feed another round in. After about a month of struggling with this, I just chopped the little stop off with an x-acto knife. Problem solved, no more difficulty.

IMHO, these things are a HUGE thumbsaver. It makes loading magazines a lot less of a chore.
