Took my old HK4 out to the range today and the buffer fell apart. Not unusual for a 40 year old gun. I've ordered the part and it should be here in about a week.
Has anyone here replaced one of these before?
Any advice?
I got the part in and replaced the buffer. No tricks at all, just pushed the new buffer in place with the buffer bar in front of it. Seems to be a common problem with this pistol. Don't loose the buffer bar! This part is no longer available.
