I'm really beginning to feel like the USP9c's official cheerleader on this board. I had one for two years, carry it (almost) daily, and use it at action pistol.
I have 19,000+ rounds through it and have had no problems that could not be obviously tied to my reloads (primers not seated deeply enough, no powder, and trying to push non-jacketed rounds too quickly). I've never had a malfunction with factory ammo or with my reloads when I don't do one of the above.
The ability to safely carry cocked and locked and therefore not have to deal with a double-action first pull is great. I don't understand why all guns can't do this.
Accuracy is phenomenal. The more I shoot other people's guns and watch them shoot their own, the more I appreciate what I have.
The lack of standard capacity magazines is a disappointment.
Shooting lead or plated bullets can result in keyholing unless you back off on the velocity. Somewhere around 10% below the maximum powder charge will work very well.
I have three holsters for mine and when trying them on for size, I never noticed a problem with the holster hitting the magazine release. I did notice a lack of holsters which would list the USP9c as being compatable, but I soon found out that every holster that said it would fit the Glock 30 would also fit mine.
I'm thankful for the Glock because every time I see one I don't think my USP is quite so ugly.
OUCH! Ooo! OUCH! HEY!!!
I paid close to $650 for mine, but I didn't quibble on price at the dealer because he was unbelievably helpful and generous while I was deciding, but $600 should be doable if it's new.
