HK USP in IPSC?

Hello All,

This my first post on this forum, but i`ve been lurking here for a few days. I just started shooting again after 3 years. I had to sell my guns a few years ago for personal reasons but now i`m back and it feels good. My local area now has a gun club/range that`s only 5 miles from my house, talk about sweet. This club host`s ipsc matches once a month with an average of 30 participants per match. I am very interested in trying my hand at ipsc but the only pistol i own is an HK USP 45f. I love this gun it shoots like dream and is ultra reliable. My question is can this gun be competitive against the 1911`s and glocks in limited 10 class? Do any of you use an HK for this purpose? Any info would be greatly appreciated<THANKS

Yes, you will be competitive unless you are faster than your USP. :) I use the USP9/40F for 3 years in IPSC Standard. Ultra reliable, very accurate.

I compete occassionally in Production class with my USP9f. Aside from the "seeming" advantage of the 17-rnd Glcok over my 15-rounder (no limit hereabouts :D), it really holds up to the competition very well indeed.

Very accurate, reliable, ease of mag change. More than adequate to get me thru.

Last month, it helped me bring home my first trophy. :D

...and I intend to collect more using the USP9. ;)

I shoot a USP .40F with a blade tech holster in IPSC matches. In my last match last year I took 1st in Limited 10.( ok, ok, there were only two of us in Limited 10 but at least I was not last.)
I shoot my .45 GM better but I like the USP for IPSC. I use my trigger finger for mag changes, I find it much faster.

Looks like you already have the gun you need.

Now just gets some more mags for it and a good holster system and your set. :D
