HK USP compact magazines

I've read on some site that it is possible to use magazines from HK USP compact .40S&W in compact 9 mm. It gives 13 rds capacity. Any experience with it or comments?

Sorry, I don't know about this, but I hope someone does. Its an interesting idea. I'd be willing to pay plenty for pre-ban high-capacity 9mm mags for a USP Compact, but I don't think they exist. I wonder if it would be legal to do this? The magazines are legal. The ammo is legal. The gun is legal. But is the combination legal? Who knows. I hope someone checks this out and replies.
 
I've read on HK-L that one guy shot 500 9mm rds from .40 mag without any problem. Another one had though one problem (I do not remember what it was) after shooting 3 mags.
I went in local store and checked side by side .40 and 9mm mags and tried fit them in 9mm and .40 HK Compacts. They defenitely interchangable, but lips of .40 look a little wider.
