I am going to buy HK USP .45C. It is available in stainless (barrel)or black finish. Which one you would recommend?

Thank you in advance

You know what pistol you want. Now just figure out what finish you like!

The standard "Hostile Environment Finish" is not nearly as good as the Glock finish, for maximum durability I'd go with stainless.

I love my USP .45C, but it WILL rust on the serial#, proofmarks and any spots where the finish is thin from holster carry. If I know I'll be sweating on it alot, or out on the ocean, I'll give it a good coat of CLP before heading out.

I suggest the Stainless model.

Although the USP will not rust even with minor finish "wear", I personally just can't stand to see the wear marks in the first place.

That's why all of my USP's are stainless :).

One more thing, IMO, the stainless slides are easier to clean as you can see the powder and carbon residue. Black and silver make for a good contrast. No place for all that crud to hide when you can see every spec...
