I'd like some comparitive comments on the felt recoil of the above mentioned handguns with the following modifications:

HK USP 40F with stock dual-recoil system
Glock 23 with 22# Wolff/ISMI recoil spring
Walther P99 .40S&W with Sprinco Recoil Reduction system

Comments on felt recoil with stock recoil spring systems are welcomed as well.

Thanks.

I was very impressed with the low recoil of the USP45f I've fired. I have a 1911, but the USP was like shooting a 9mm. I imagine the .40 would be the same or better.

The Sprinco system is designed to work like the USP system, but I've read a fair number of complaints about quality and lack of recoil abatement here on TFL. Suggest a search.

Haven't heard anything yet about the ISMI springs, but I'd be surprised if substituting one spring for another, no matter how advanced the metalurgy, could have such a great affect. However, the gun itself can do alot for recoil, so factoring that in could make a difference.

I would likely go for the USP, the recoil is low and they are accurate in forty, unlike most .40 Glocks.
