Hey I just recently purchased a USP9 and I absolutely love it. I think I want to get one in 40 caliber but am not sure. Does anyone out there have one chamber in 40 or should I just go with the 45? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!!!

Collect them all! - Available in specially marked cereal boxes! Limited time offer! ;)

IMHO, I would personally skip the intermediate round and jump straight to the big bore 45.

But it all depends on what YOU are using them for. CCW, HD, just plain target shooting?

Greetings; My vote would have to go to the
full size USP in .45ACP. :)

I just got the HK Compact 45 last week, and I love this weapon... I had previously been shooting a Glock 19. The recoil is much more noticeable than the Glock...

Get em' while you can! HK is putting "Key Locking" mechanisms in the bottom of the pistol grip. A new safety feature so you can lock the action of the slide and hammer.

Good luck finding one. It was very hard to find the 45's for me... the cheapest place I found is Police Products Inc. They're number is 201-447-2900. They were asking $625 for the 45 compact, I eventually paid $700 from another dealer because these guys were out of stock.

Good Luck,
Mark

Ask yourself this question, "What am I eventually going to buy more of? .45 or .40?"
If you don't plan on becoming an "addicted" firearms collector, figure out if you'll have more .45 firearms or .40
It'll be cheaper in the long run buying the same type of ammo instead of buying .40's and .45's. Personally, I own the HK USP .45
It's very reliable, durable and accurate. At the time of purchase, I got it for $645.
If you don't care about cost, buy both!

The USP Compact 40 is the best weapon I have ever owned. We are required to carry the Glock 23 on the job, but for obvious reasons, I strongly prefer my USP 40. More recoil than the Glock, better safety features, more durable, just an all around ideal weapon for on-the-job, personal, or home defense. With the accuracy of the 9mm and nearly the same stopping power as the 45, you won't be sorry!!
