HK Tactical

Just how tactical are these guns? Is there any significant difference between these and a USP aside from a threaded barrel?

They look mean enought to make an anti crap themselves, but how do they perform (shooting wise)?

Thanks

They have the o-ringed barrel and match grade trigger along with adjustable target sights. After I sighted mine in at 25 yards, I can produce 5 shot .75 inch groups all day long from sandbags. It is very accurate, will shoot anything I feed it and accurate enough to hit a six inch gong 9 out of 10 times at 100 yards.

OK...here's a question for ya...what about the USP Expert???...they're both about the same price...any real differences between the two???...which is better???

the expert usually runs a bit more.

like 1100-1300 depending on caliber.

tactical(in .45 only DAMMIT[well in us anyway...]) runs about $900

The expert is kinda like the usp version of the glock 35. Its 1911ish in its size and balance, also uses the o-ring barrel, match trigger and adjustable sights. The slide is extended, not just the barrel like the tactical.

I like it, but for that much theres other stuff i would get first.

k.s.

Tactical

I have just recently purchased a Tactical. I own or have owned the .45f, the .40c, and the .45c , in addition to various other handguns over the years and I never could shoot worth a crap, consistently. With the Tactical, with the additions of night sights which have clearly visible white rings for daylight use, it seems that I can not miss. At last a gun that makes me feel that I can shoot. That is all I can say about the Tactical.

My dad has USPs in:

9 mm (full-size standard & compact)
.45 (Full size standard & Tactical)

He put Tactical adjustable sights on his standard .45 USP  I've shot both of his .45s and I really can't tell much difference. They are both tack-drivers. The sight give a nice sight picture, but they are too damn big and make the gun look funny.

yes, the extended baseplate is the only difference. I have a full sized USP and prefer the extended baseplates of the Tactical.
