Old gun, mid70s vintage. It's very reliable, but does have some quirks. 7rd mags for .45, 9rd for 9mm. There's a .30 Luger version as well, but it's basically the same as the 9mm.
The P9S was made until 1984, but was available until 1988 or 89. Mine is the .45 ACP Taget model. You get the adjustable sights and trigger over the std model. There was also a Competition model that had oversize, almost freestyle grips, and a longer barrel with muzzle weight. They are out there for sale, I see them regularly in Gun List, at gun shows in Texas, and on the sale board of subguns.com. Check other threads on TFL for more info.

I'm happy with mine! Had it a few weeks now and just popped in a heavier recoil spring.
If you get one pick up a few spare parts.
Oh BTW, I thought that HK made them for the Greek government until the early 90s.
