HK P9S Feeding Problems

I have a used HK P9s and I have feeding problems when using hollow points or 147gr flat nose bullets. I'm thinking the problem is in my follower spring. Any suggestions?
 
Could be.

P7's weren't designed for heavy bullets. There weren't any when the P9S was designed. Maybe they just won't work. Or, try polishing the feed ramp.
 
If you do not know the history of the mag and recoil springs I would suggest you replace them with some new Wolff springs. www.gunsprings.com

I have zero problems with my P9S Target in 9mm shooting any kind of bullet. It shoots everything I put through it.
