HK P9 45cal.

I assume you mean the P9S? No personal experience but did dig these up:

"Handgun development also commanded the attention of HK designers and engineers during these years. In 1969, a reworking of the delayed-locked roller bolt system was introduced in a pistol - the P9S. Acclaimed for its accuracy, the P9S was officially embraced by several elite military units, including the US Navy SEALS. However, the most radical feature of the P9S was its design. The receiver was designed using a newly developed high-tech plastic composite called polymer, which molded around the steel frame. With the development of another polymer framed HK handgun, the futuristic VP70, these models predated by more than fifteen years the introduction of polymer framed handguns by competing firms."

its worth 800bux in good shape...the 9mm goes for around 600 here in good shape..the p9s was HK second handgun the HK4 being the first...I will say the HK4 has the worse trigger I have ever seen and its a copy of the walter ppk and a poor copy at that...the 380 HK4 was only service rated at 200 rounds...in 32 or 25acp the HK4 will function fine..i have handled quite a few p9s handguns over the years..In my opinion the USP is far far superior..if you have one I would just make it a safe queen....or sell to a collecter who will pay way more for the name then what the gun is actually worth...negatives on HK4s and p9s are no parts and no mags....

The P9S in .45 is an amazing weapon. It has a great grip, low recoil, quite small for a .45, accurate beyond belief, a great trigger and never a jam. This weapon does not have to be a safe queen, it is a very viable alternative to a USP. It is more concealable than a USP Compact. I actually shoot more accurate with the P9S in close range (25 ft) than the USP Tactical!

The common problems with the weapon as has been discovered over the years is the plastic buffer mechanism needs to be watched due to deterioration because of age and exposure to solvents/oil and the magazine feed lips become brittle and crack over extended prolonged use.

For a 98% P9S in .45 with fixed sights, plan on spending upwards of $1000, more for the target version. They are becoming quite scarce and are purchase quickly when they come to market.
