HK or Glock

Which do you think is a better gun. A HK USP 9mm or a Glock 19 and why?? I am going to trade 1 in and dont know which one to keep. They both shoot good but 1 has to go?

Thanks:confused:

I would keep the HK. Glocks are holding steady price wise while the HK experience price increases a couple times a year. Sure, you might get more for that trade now, but if you ever plan to replace it, it'll cost you !

I personally prefer how the HK feels in my hands over the Glock, so I also shoot it better.

But I would give that up for the lack of manual safeties and smaller package of most glocks for a carry weapon. JMHO.

Tough call here; both are great weapons. I'd
hate to have to make that call? As another
poster said, "the H&K experiences price
increase's a couple of times a year". With
that said, guess I would keep the H&K.

I've got a HK USP45C and a G17. I like them both a lot. Hard to beat 15+1 (or 17+1) with the Glock, but cocked and locked feature on the HK is nice, too. Sounds like one of each is needed.

Well thanks for the reply's. Ive decided to keep the HK. If I ever did want another I know the price's do keep going up on them. So it will stay ..

:D

shooter.45,

Cannot decide between HK & Glock?

Why don’t you like the HK?

Sell the HK to me and keep the Glock!

Just don't get rid of you high caps!!!!!!! I would have kept the Glock, but thats my taste, just IMHO.

hk or glock

it realy depends what you are going to use it for. If you look at there tests the glock surpasses the hk by far and the glock is more durable and reliable. you can use it for a paper weight, hammer, or a gun.

I question is why are you trading it in and 4 what?

I love both guns and would do anything I could to keep them both.

I KNOW I'm contributing to another "my pistol is great and yours sucks" war, but...

it realy depends what you are going to use it for. If you look at there tests the glock surpasses the hk by far and the glock is more durable and reliable. you can use it for a paper weight, hammer, or a gun.

HUH?

Who's tests? More whatable? Where the HECK did you get this dribble?

I couldn't possibly begin to say that it was the other way around, because Glock is one tough pistol, but the HK is at every bit as durable and reliable, and many dare say, a bit more accurate, albeit at $200 more (for an external hammer maybe?). I would be quite comfortable using either to defend my life under any conditions (although I'd rather have my M4gery).

ELLIOTT!!!!

I usually welcome newbies in this board, but in your case, i'll have to hold back till you explain yourself fully, and to our (the HK brotherhood, i.e.:D ) satisfaction, on the factual basis for your statement.

Do well,

HK is the BMW of handguns.

Glock is...I dunno. Honda?

I've owned both, and while they are equally durable and reliable...the USP is more accurate in my hands and is obviously a higher quality pistol. From the silent cocking, to the positive "click" of inserting a magazine, to having no gap betwee the slide and frame...they are overengineered, and that is obvious to an anal-retentive bastard like myself :)

I would rather spend an extra 200 for the USP, which I will enjoy forever. The Glock...well, I owned one, and I just stared at it trying to "will it" into a USP ;)

I got with the program and sold that Glock, though. Buying my second USP very soon, I buy HK's as my college budget affords me.

Don't blame you for keeeping the H&K. Your decision was, happily, a win-win decision. Personally, a few of each brand would suit me just fine....

In the future, perhaps you should try shooting both and seeing which suits you better. I shoot GLocks better, but others are the other way around. Try for yourself.

Enjoy!

I would have kept the Glock 19 and all of its high cap mags. The 19 is one of the most popular models in Glocks line up and for many good reasons. It's the perfect size, it holds 16 rounds, will not rust, is reliable as a brick door stop and is a far better value for the money. The fact that I'm a Glock LEO Armorer, has nothing to do with my decision. :)
