HK MP5

Though I'm not into Class III items that the two ideas that immediately come to mind are...

1 - Keep Dreaming
2 - Take out a 2d Mortgage to buy it from the collector.

Build a time machine and go back to 1980, buy your MP5 and pay the 200$ tax. Jump back into your time machine, come back to today and by May you will finally hear back from the BATF that you can pick up your firearm! ;)

Or;

Move to the Philipines where three have been aquired in the last year! :confused:

Guns cause crime like spoons cause Rosie O'Donnell to be fat!

Or simply call up any number of Class III dealers and tell them that you're ready to spend 8000-9000$ on an MP5. File the paperwork with ATF, pay your $200 tax, wait a few months and then take home your new MP5.

If you want to drop that type of coin (ok, "want" isn't the right word, but that's what it will cost), simply post a WTB ad on the NFAAD board on www.subguns.com.

Good luck.

Even so, HK won't be making anymore MP5's. They will fill existing orders and make the UMP as the new sub gun. They will be introducing the .40 UMP soon per their US web site.

That's true, however HK hasn't made MP5s for civilian consumption since 1968 -- and only a very few of those ever made it into the US. The vast majority of the "MP5s" out there are actually conversions done by C2s. The transferable stuff anyway.
