HK 357Sig anytime soon?

Friend mentioned that HK was going to come out with their .357Sig version. Anybody have links or information?

As a matter of fact, HK already has out their USPcompact in .357sig. I've seen it on the '99 Product catalog and you can see it at www.hecklerkoch-usa.com under "USP Compact". It doesn't come in the full sized USP unfortunately :(.
I'd like to see an MP5 chambered in .357sig, that would be freaky! :)
 
I hear the 357 compact may not be around long; HK can't give em away. I have two and like em a lot; got two 40s too. :)

All the full size 40 conversions to 357 I have seen were not reliable; may be a mag problem?

I like the USP a lot. Outside the DEA, INS/BP, US Marshals, German Polizei, Australain SAS, don't seem very popular.

I hear there were/are test models of the MP5 in 357. Also heard they have/will drop the MP5/40 and 10mm.

The USP .357 sigs are out. They've been out for over a year. In my area they haven't sold well because of the price. They are about $50-60 more than the 40S&W version.

Also, a downside to them is they don't have the ability to switch calibers like the Sig 226/229/239/2340 do.

I talked to an HK rep at the SHOT Show about the rumor of .357sig MP5 and he advise me they have several functioning prototypes. Unsure if it will ever make it to production though. I hope it does, would make an excellent subgun.

Took forever for HK to deliver my Compact 357 Sig. I had to write to them and call when they did not deliver when promised. While waiting I checked all the auction and sale sights and none had a Compact 357 Sig.

Finially found one after a month of searching and just as HK was delivering mine so I waited for the one from HK.
 
I've owned an H&K usp in 45acp and it was one fine weapon. I might have to look at purchasing one of these compacts in 357sig.

Yes, and it really is to bad that they don't chamber one of thier pistols in 10mm... :( if they did i'd own one.... :)
 
I have USP compacts in 40/357; the barrels and mags _do_ swap just fine.

HK will not sell the barrels alone though, and do not authorize the swapping. The Jarvis 40/357 barrels work great w either mag.

Blame American lawyers? :)
