Good morning,
Today, we as a nation, stand at a pivotal place in our history. We are threatened by an ideology of hatred abroad that has wounded us on our own soil. It threatens to do so again as we seek to persue an destroy it. This threat is greater than Fascism, Nazism, greater even than Communism. This threat is real, is present, is without mercy, without humanity, without civilized conduct.
The choice at the polls today is one of stark contrast; there are some on this board who will scoff and mock and say that life's choices are not that black and white.
I maintain that this one is and that our choices are clear; the results of those choices far ranging and dramatic.
Will we choose to continue to stand up for ourselves, make our own decisions about our safety, our place in the world and how best to seek out and destroy those that would joyfully kill us all or will we put our faith in the UN, knuckle under to the premise that we need to be popular among the Europeans, that we need to attempt to negotiate with or somehow appease the terrorists? Do we stand for allowing Bin Laden to put a death sentence on those of us whose states would vote for the President?
Do we vote for a man, flawed though he is, who says what he means and does what he says or a man who has made his political career by selling out our military, his constituents and his country; a man who could not tell the truth if our very lives depended on it, and they do.
This is the one time when the future of the country is truly in our hands. Let us make the most of this opportunity. God bless you all; God bless America.
