Democrats: “Bush not competent, his election would result in disaster.”
Could they have something in mind?

“My fellow Americans:
Because the American people have been deceived and seduced into electing a person to the presidency who is obviously incompetent and not capable of meeting the standards I have set for this high office, and because of the chaos and confusion which would result from his taking office, I have today signed an executive order declaring the results of the November 7, 2000 election to be null and void, and canceling the inaugural ceremony planned for later this month.
Further, I have determined that, in the current state of the nation, only I can properly fill the office of President of the United States, and have, as of this date, assumed the title of President for Life. From this point, all citizens of the United States must refer to me by that title.
I have also signed an executive order discharging all members of the United States Supreme Court and eliminating that institution, and forbidding the Congress to meet until further notice from me. These are drastic steps, my fellow Americans, but a truly great nation cannot abide a divided leadership. We must speak to the world with one voice. I have therefore declared that all executive, legislative and judicial authority now rests with me, as President for Life.
In addition, as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and Chief Magistrate of the United States, I have ordered all police forces in the nation brought directly under the control of the Armed Forces, and have declared that a state of martial law exists until further notice. In order to prevent illegal actions by misguided persons, I have signed, as Chief Magistrate, a single search warrant authorizing the Armed Forces and police to search the homes and business places of all those who might resist these necessary steps to preserve domestic tranquility.
Search units will be ordered to confiscate and destroy all firearms, ammunition, explosives, other weapons, subversive literature, military clothing, and other items which the force commander determines could disturb the peace or do harm to our loyal citizens. My order also directs that persons found in possession of such materials be executed without trial. I regret the need for such action, but the nation must be preserved.
I pledge to you, my fellow citizens, to continue these actions, distasteful as they are to me, for as long as necessary to restore the peaceful nature of our nation and bring American once more to greatness. Thank you, and good evening."
