Historical State Concealed Carry Law Data

For some time now I've been looking to get historical data on CCW laws, by state. To be clear, I mean basically whether or not they were actively issuing licenses to carry to civilians. For me, this falls under the category of "Shall Issue" states, or states that uniformly behave as "Shall Issue" states.

Does anyone know of any sort of "official" (read: legitimate, or citable) source I can get this data through? Similar information to this link, but with more "institution" behind it. Is there some sort of NRA archive that I've been missing? I appreciate any help or direction I might be given. Thanks in advance!

Funny you mention it, I've actually e-mailed the guy asking for where he got his data. (Still waiting on it, but he didn't respond last time, so I'm trying this option). I'm looking for year passed. My search for data basically starts in 1976, when Zell Miller passed the first "Shall-Issue" state law for GA. (Vermont you never needed one).

So I'm looking for the years of the passage of the laws that made a state a "shall issue" state. (Really, any history is good).

Thanks!
