Hillary wants to ban LEAD

Hillary want to ban LEAD.
This ban would shut down most "small" indoor ranges.

Bill Clinton banned the use of Mercury. Now I have a 35 year old camera that has no battery. If Hillary gets the lead banned, that will close our local indoor range. Ain't them Clinton.....!

Well... did you all join NRA and GOA (and JPFO too for that matter)?
Do you vote?
Can you call your congressthief?

Good. Then make it so.

I seriously doubt this. Lead has too many useful purposes. Also, mercury is not banned. It is still used extensively.

First: Source?

Second: Hillary Clinton is the junior senator from NY, and cannot ban anything on her own accord. She can try to get legislation through by convincing the majority of the Senate to go along with it, but by herself she can't ban squat.

Third: Lead is a widely-used substance that's too common in too many products to "ban". Your claim is a little too general and gives no specific information about what she wants to ban, and what the scope of the ban would be. Saying that "Hillary wants to ban LEAD" is about as informative as saying that Elizabeth Dole wants to ban oxygen. What is she trying to do?

Please research these claims before posting them here. This is not a clearinghouse for unsubstantiated Internet rumors or urban legends, and our image as gun owners suffers if we don't appear reasonably informed.

What??

Anti-gunners' image as anti-gunners never seems to suffer much even though they constantly appear utterly misinformed.

I don't get it. Why does the standard apply only to us?

I'd rather see more public health & safety issues addressed by the honorable (used loosely) senator from New Yawk.

For instance, ban accidents as they have been proven to injure, maim or even kill people. Better yet, ban death since people die from it. :p

Forget about target shooting... what about the impact on hunting? Thanks to the "armor piercing" bullet ban, there are few utility-grade bullets that don't contain lead.

I second the call for a source for your assertion.

I could as easily say that Hillary wants to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide...

Dihydrogen Monoxide is a leading cause of children's death, in the top ten even.

I also ask for source.

But I had to reply just because of TBM :D.

And Gore anted to ban internal combustion engines

Does she also want to ban the lead acid batteries that start her limos

Your politicians are nearly as crazy as our Australian Politicians!

Ours normally sort their problems out with a good old butt kicking competition.

(Just kidding :) )
