High Standard Victor

Just picked up a victor (Houston Model) at a local show. Having feeding problems, will fire 1,2 or 3 rounds and then jams. Top of the round jams in the very top of the chamber and will not load . Have tried different types of ammo, same problem. Also, changed mags. Anyone have any thoughts as to how to correct the problem? I know it's difficult without having it in your hands, but thought others may have had the same problem. :(

Thanks,
Ron

EVERYBODY has the same problem. High Standards are exquisitely sensitive to magazine lip adjustment. About their only drawback.

The company has adjustment guidelines on their www site
http://www.highstandard.com

They are at least a place to start. Don't be afraid to tinker.

Jim is right about the magazines, but also check to be sure dry-firing has not left a burr at the edge of the chamber. Not likely, but possible.

Apologies for being slightly OT, but any Californian who wants to sell me their High Standard Victor, please PM. It's impossible to find one of these in-state... god I hate the laws here.
