The extractor broke on my 1972 High Standard, I have the replacement, anyone else ever install one ?

Going on memory, the HS Victor has an extractor that's interlocked with the extractor spring and plunger.

To remove COVER THE SLIDE AROUND THE REAR OF THE EXTRACTOR WITH TAPE.
This is so when/if you slip the slide won't get scratched.
Use a small pocket size screwdriver.
Use a stone to lightly round off the sharp edges and corners of the blade.
Put the slide in a large plastic bag to catch the spring and plunger if they fly out.

Insert the screwdriver behind the extractor and pull the plunger to the rear.
Tilt the extractor up out of the slot.
Remove the spring and plunger, and clean the hole in the slide with a pipe cleaner and solvent.
Clean up everything and apply oil to all parts.

Insert the spring and plunger into the hole in the slide, with the bevel on the plunger rotated so the flat is facing down toward the slide.
Pull the plunger back with the driver and insert the extractor into the slot.
You'll have to hold the extractor with the rear tilted up as it's inserted and you push it back/down.

Make certain the flat on the extractor plunger is on the rear of the extractor.
