I got this gun recently and am trying to find out what the specs are on it, and what holsters/speedloaders will work with it. Its a stubby barrely but I dont know the exact length or where you begin to measure the length of the barrel from. I love this gun, it was a gift from an uncle, and would like to carry conceal this and I definately need to get some speed loaders for it. I had heard somewhere that a speed loader for the S&W J or K frames would work, well I went down to the local gun shop and picked up a J frame, definately didnt fit, and they were out of the K frames, I would really like to know if it will fit before I go ordering offline so I dont have to worry about costly rma's. Also I am looking for a conceal holster for this and once again would like to know if it actually will fit before I go and order one online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

any information on this at all would be helpful because I know pretty much nothing about the gun other than my uncle bought it brand new and put maybe 25 or 50 rounds through it when it was brand new like 20+ years ago, Ive already but 300+ rounds through and would like to know what people think about it. It is extremely accurate at 10-15yards, I can get groupings of 3 in about the size of a quarter, and im not even all that great of a shot. But yeah any info anyone has on this gun, its scarce on the internet from the searches ive done for it, would be much appreciated.

It was made for High Standard by Dan Wesson in the mid 1970s and will take the same speedloaders as a "K" frame Smith & Wesson.
I don't know what you want for a holster, but I bet a Hume JIT would do.

Thanks for letting me know that a kframe speed loader will work, I went to 3 gun shops today and none of them knew, however I did get a holster, just a medium revolver holster for a 4". Anyone have any thoughts on this gun, from everyone ive talked to about them they seem to be a pretty good gun, but would like to hear more about their life span, like is it a good gun to shoot a lot of rounds through or should I hold back on the number of times I take it out and target practice with.

I doubt you need to worry about the ruggedness of your revolver: Dan Wessons are renowned for their durability, as long as you maintain the proper gap between barrel and cylinder and keep the gun clean and well oiled.
Your gun is an example of High Standard's completely witless approach to the firearms market. Instead of concentrating on the one thing it did very well, making .22 caliber match pistols, it tried to be all things to all shooters, and ended up going out of business in 1984.

I don't know, if they'd subbed out the other stuff like the .357s they might have done ok. Ever see an Automag with High Standard trademark? They tried to get marketing for them. The assorted .22 revolvers were not fancy but they sold ok, doubt they hurt the company.
Wasted a lot of time and money on the in-house Crusader project, though.
