C Crimper-D New member Jun 6, 2005 #2 Probably 1946 or early 1947 The HD was the only HS pistol made during & immediately after WWII, and by 1947 they were turning out a hammerless 'H' model. Could have been pre-war, but I don't have any ser# info, just ads from old Gun Digests Well, it's a start.............

R radom New member Jun 6, 2005 #3 The HD Mil is a post war gun if thats how the slide is marked, the ww-2 guns are marked differantly.Pre war HDs are a hammerless gun too.
