I am trying to find out information for a friend on a old High Standard. The marking show it as a High-Standard Supermatic .22LR S-101 SN 739xxx.

It was manufactured by High Standard MFG Corp in Hamden, Conn USA.

It is in pretty good shape. Any advice on how I determine age and approximate value? Does any on have some guess-timates?

Thanks

Thanks list posters

It was great having someone post that there is a High Standard list. I have 25 Target grips with palm swell plates for serious competitors left from 23 years of storage. When the current company was formed the owner wanted me to make grips for them but I declined. Last week I thought I would never sell off those grips but the next day I have nice responses and orders including the Pres of HS wanting to buy me out. I declined and am selling at 79 prices my remaining grips to shooters who can mail me that my grips are great and that their scores have improved. My thanks to this list and the fellow who helped me.
