Somehow I knew Son was gonna make me drool on my keyboard.
No, I don't have a Colt currently. I have been wanting one but when I get one, I am going to do it right. I have a feeling that is gonna be $2K
minimum and a few years away though.

In areas such as parts of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oklahoma, a Barbeque can be a pretty formal function at times. It can be more than just burgers on the grill. We are talking that you get the most premium cuts of beef and pork that you can afford. You get fresh boneless chicken breasts for those watching their figure, you have seven varieties of potato salad and fine wine in a box. Guests bring home cooked goods such as a cake for the event. You invite everyone you know, and some you don't, as long as they live along the same creek as you. Tell all these people to bring anyone that they know. Your shirt has buttons down the front and you wear your nicest pants. Everyone has a cowboy hat and their finest boots on. You have a belt buckle the size of rhode island (possibly with a NAA mini in it). And, of course, everyone is packing their finest handgun - open carry. It's not likely that you will have to use it, but it is the finishing touch on your "duds". Many will wear a pair of SA wheelguns. They will most likely be polished stainless/chrome/nickel, or some other flashy configuration. If your rig allows, you have cartridges around the perimeter. You spend the entire previous day polishing each one with Tarn-X and placing it in the loop, careful to avoid a fingerprint. Everything has to be perfect.
While I used to think that such a rig had the ultimate in class, I know that the proper 1911 can easily outdo it. I have seen real nice, mouthwatering pistols so far, but not the one I desire yet. The El Jefe
did come close though. It is the kind of pistol that gets its own safe.
