hi viz vs red dot sights on Ruger MKIII target

I shoot in a dark indoor range and my eyes have a hard time discerning between the dark sights and the target. I was thinking about get some hi viz sights or perhaps a red dot (the pistol comes with a rail).

What do you suggest?

I have two Ruger 22/45's and run True Glow dots. Very visible in low light.

If your indoor range already suffers from poor lighting, I don't see how "Hi-Vis" sights will be of much benefit. AFAIK, they all require some regular lighting to highlight the sights. Go with a RedDot sight. BTW, it's been the most popular sight for regular bullseye shooters for many years now. Helps a lot with that "sight picture" problem.

Another vote for a red dot, especially for the circumstances described.
They will spoil you.
But there's a learning curve involved with red (or green) dots.
