What kind of hi visbility glow in the dark paint has been tried on the rear site. I have a S&W 586 L comp that comes with a black adjustable blade in back and a bladk site up front with a tiny vile of tritium. If I could just get a little contrast going with the black blade in back it would surely help my practice in teh darkish indoor range not to mention target aquisition in an emergency. I thought maybe the stuff they use for watches. Super luminova but I dont know how durable it is.

I use bright red nail polish. I know it's not high-tech but it is very durable. amazes me ladies paint this stuff on their fingers.:D

"Glow in the dark" stuff only works for the few minutes after you've pulled it from under a bright light.

The tritium front sight should be enough in a defensive situation.

For target practice, replace the rear sight with white outline, tritium, or fiber optic.

I am kinda diggin the Nail polish idea ... after I put it on the gun I can use it to make myself pretty !!:D

Seriously though the nail polish sounds great but why red. wouldnt a pearl or white work better?
