Hi-point carbine

i don't care how they look. let's talk the only thing that actually matters. quality. i want to know if i buy this gun, throw it in the truck, go offroading, accidentally get some mud in it, drop it, shoot it alot, but clean it regularly will it break? and if so will hi-point repair it?

My Hi-Point 9mm carbine has shot every single time I have pulled the trigger. I have has it for about 3yrs. I cant say about their warranty because I have never had to send either my carbine or my 9mm pistol back for repair. A friend of mine has something break on his 9mm carbine that was well used. They fixed the problem and also replaced a couple items they thought needed replaced. That sounds like pretty a good warranty to me. If my guns ever need fixed I hope I get treated as well.

By the way, I have a $30 BSA scope on the carbine and its extremely accurate. Its always shot alot on trips to shoot because its so much fun.

they have a 100% no fault warranty... run it over with a truck... chuck it in the woodchipper... use it as a fence post

just send it in and theyll fix it or send you a new one... mine has been really reliable except when it got excessively dirty it jammed up. one of the best carbine you can get and for 150 its a lot of gun

As long as you stick with factory mags the carbines are solid. I have the 995 and 4095.

My 995 is from the first year of production and was completely worn out when I got it. Even though the striker spring was broken in half it still would fire 9 out of 10 rounds. I shipped it back to Hi-Point after putting 1k of 9mm through it and they effectively replaced everything in the gun. It is now rock solid.

Every hipoint I've shot has been reliable. Never owned one or shot it in extreme conditions, but if you don't mind the ugly looks, I think they are a great buy.

Hi Point Carbine..

Like any firearm........you take care of it, it will usually take care of you. I have a Hi-Point Carbine..........flawless so far, fed it everything, no failure to go into battery. I'd take it to the dance any time.

You'd be surprised how many people do that. It's not a bad idea.

Its a very good idea. One caliber for both. Economical and it makes sense.

Great guns. Their only shortcoming, IMO, is the mags. If they could take Glock-style mags, I'd buy another one in an instant. As it is, you're stuck with proprietary 10rd mags or junk ProMag 15 rounders

i was just browsing through some threads now i'm getting ready to go to the store and buy a hi point. it's a good gun if it can sell its self.

Truck gun...fine, as long as you don't mind rust. I've owned three 9s, last one being the newer TS. Every single one rusted very easily, some times from finger prints. That said, you get what you pay for with them...a cheaply made, cheap to buy, 9mm carbine that is lots of fun to shoot and for the most part is accurate and reliable enough to make it a good buy. The Hi-Point customer service is a big plus...at least for me.

I like the heck out of my 9mm Carbine,,,

But I don't
"throw it in the truck, go offroading, accidentally get some mud in it, drop it..."

I do shoot it a lot,,,
Over 500 rounds since I bought it in November.

Not one failure yet,,,
Because (I believe) I clean and lube it regularly.
