Hi-point 9mm Comp

Yes I know hi-points suck. My dad bought a 9mm Comp a while back and put about 300rds through it. He wants to sell me this pistol cause he never uses it. I thought about buying it from him for just a beater pistol to throw in a pack when I go biking and not have to worry about it if Id happen to damage it. In 24 days Ill have either a beretta m92fs or a hk usp9 but I wouldnt want to throw them in a pack and go biking cause theyd get scratched to hell. It wont be carried with a round in the chamber. How much do you guys think would be a fair price to offer him for it. Thanks for the help. Hundred Bucks.

Just curious. If you do need the pistol, do you have the time to take off your pack, dig through it and find the pistol, chamber a round and then fire off a shot before the BG gets the better part of you?

I'd get it to just use for plinking and purchase another smaller weapon you can carry on your person if you are serious about defense.

Not really worried about bad guys as much as seeing a rabid dog or a snake or something of that nature. I know its not very tactical way to carry it but id probably sew a holster into the back portion of the backpack so it would be easy access. Just an idea. I dont know if I want to pay $100 for that hunk of steel anyways. Im sure I could find a nice used makarov or some milsurp for around that price that would make me much happier.

Maybe its just me,but Hi-Point or Sig,i wouldn't try to stick it to my own dad on a gun that has 300 rounds through it!
Its well worth the $130.00 he probably paid for it.

Well. He's never cleaned it and it doesnt get the greatest handling so its not LNIB. Ill just look for a makarov instead. No hi point is worth $100-130 to me. I was thinking $50 max. He doesnt want to go through the hassle of transferring it so its either to me or to no one because no one else in my family cares for firearms.
